Puzzle Lantern is free to play during early access. It is a set of four daily puzzle games for iPhone and iPad: Sudoku, Word Sense, Recall and Vanish. There are no ads. Install by 29 October 2026 and the app stays free on that install. You will not be asked to subscribe later.
No card, no signup form and no trial to cancel.
What you get for free
- Every Daily puzzle in all four games. Each game has one Daily a day, the same for every player.
- Unlimited More puzzles in Sudoku, Recall and Vanish. Word Sense has the Daily only.
- Friends, a leaderboard for each Daily, your streak and your statistics.
- Sudoku hints. They are part of the game and are never sold.
- No ads of any kind: no banners, no videos between puzzles and no advertising identifiers.
- No coins, no lives and no energy to refill.
Why it is free now
Puzzle Lantern is new. Early players get the full app free, and the app gets real players and real feedback while it grows. Send an idea or a problem from Settings, under Send feedback.
Early access closes on 30 October 2026, with the first paid release. From then, a new install plays free for seven days and then needs a subscription. Installs from early access are not part of that: early players are never asked to pay for what they already have.

How to get early access
On iPhone or iPad
- Download Puzzle Lantern from the App Store.
- Open it. The first puzzle is there, with no email and no password to set up.
That is all. The app keeps the date of the install on your device, and that date is what keeps the app free.
On Android
Puzzle Lantern for Android is in early access on Google Play. Joining takes three steps: join the early access group, turn on early access, then install. See the Android early access steps.
The small print
- Free access belongs to the device you install on. Delete the app and install it again on the same device, and it stays free (on Android, when Backup is on).
- An account cannot move to a new phone yet. Recovery by email is planned.
- The App Store lists in-app purchases. That is the subscription for players who install after early access. Early players do not need it.
