What you play
Four ways to play: number logic, word clues, grid patterns and missing cards.
- Words
Word Sense
Find three hidden words from sentence prompts. Reveal clues when you need them and try to solve with fewer.

Sudoku
Fill the grid so every row, column and 3×3 box holds the digits 1 to 9. Pencil marks, unlimited undo, and conflict highlighting you can switch off.
How to play Sudoku → - Memory
Recall
A pattern flashes on the grid, then you tap the cells you saw. Rounds get bigger and faster until you slip.
How to play Recall → - Memory
Vanish
A hand of cards appears, then comes back with one gone. Pick the missing card from a line-up of five.

More games arrive over time
Play the ones you like. There is no daily checklist, no combined score and nothing to complete.
Friends only when you both agree
There are two ways in, and both need the other person to say yes: they share an invite link with you, or one of you sends a request to the other’s exact username.
There is no search, no autocomplete and no browsing, so a username you type tells you nothing: the answer looks the same whether or not the account exists. There are no friend codes, no contact syncing, and Puzzle Lantern never asks for access to your contacts.
Once you are connected, each game shows how your friends got on with that day’s puzzle, next to the global list.
